Niykee's personal highlights include getting selected to be part of Snoop at the YouTube Brandcast, in May 2013, and writing songs, despite the turbulence over the last few years. The singer-songwriter is attracted to Niykee, who constantly checks out the new beats. They often inspire music ideas. "I'll be able tell within 5 seconds if it's a good beat. When I've got a tune in my mind and I begin to write immediately." My guitar sits on the back of my porch and I just let my words flow. Most of the time, it's done in less than 30 minutes. Niykee is continuing to improve her abilities as a poet and the lyricist. She says that the pain she experienced through the years is a constant source of unique ideas. Even when she is not writing about things that have actually happened every ache from childhood and grief over the loss of her daughter makes its way into the music. The resulting music is shaped by my experiences and adds a greater meaning, which I find extremely important. I'd like to be able to hear my music 20 years from now and be proud of my words.
